India suffered a major jolt after their ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah was ruled out of the upcoming three-match Test series against South Africa due to minor stress fracture in the lower back. Subsequently, Umesh Yadav replaced Bumrah in the Indian team’s squad. However, Yadav was trolled by many for his selection.

Consequently, former Indian opener and now commentator Aakash Chopra came up with a Tweet for the naysayers. Chopra stated that Umesh Yadav bagged 10 wickets in the last home match when India was short with one bowler.
Umesh Yadav will like to grab his chance.
Yadav has had a good time while bowling in the Indian conditions however he hasn’t been able to replicate the same magic in foreign conditions. The Vidarbha pacer had last played for India in the Perth Test match against Australia where he had scalped two wickets in the first innings. But he had gone wicketless in the second dig and he was wayward in his line and length.
Aakash Chopra took to his Twitter account to share his views. The post read as, “For tweeples having issues with Umesh’s selection—
Umesh took 10 wickets in the last home Test he played. On a flat Hyderabad pitch when India was a bowler down on day-1…has played only one Test since then. #IndvSA”.
