In the recent interview with TOI, the 81-year-old Farokh Engineer has slammed the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) and the national selectors.
Engineer called the MSK Prasad-led national selection committee as a Mickey Mouse. The former Indian wicketkeeper supports that the Indian captain Virat Kohli plays the major role in the team selection. But he also questioned the qualification of the selection committee. During that moment, Engineer revealed that the selectors were busy to serve the cups of tea to Anushka Sharma. Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is the wife of the Indian captain Virat Kohli.
In past, Anushka Sharma has been targeted many times after the failure of Virat Kohli and the Indian national cricket team. Anushka was always silent on those allegations. But this time she has opened up her voice through a statement on his official Twitter account.
Anushka called baseless and false stories on the past allegations. She claimed that she had always followed the protocol of the national team.
Anushka has also clarified her presence during the Indian team’s meeting with the High Commission of India in London last year. Many criticised the Indian captain’s wife for standing in a group photo in that meeting. Anushka has claimed that they invited her on that special occasion. She also added that they asked her to stand in a group photo.

In this latest statement, Anushka has also clarified that she was present in only one game during the CWC 2019. She further added that she was sitting in the family box, not in the selectors’ box.
Anushka has also written that she doesn’t allow anyone to drag her name into any conversation to sensationalise their opinion.
