Former Pakistan cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq believes that the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has not handled MS Dhoni in the right way otherwise the former Indian captain would have not announced retirement without a farewell match.

MS Dhoni had officially announced his retirement from international cricket through an Instagram post on 15th August. His fans wanted to see him for one last time in the blue jersey but Dhoni in his own way bid adieu after last playing for India in the World Cup 2019.

Mushtaq believes that BCCI should have arranged at least one farewell match for Dhoni. He is disappointed that the retirement of a big player like Dhoni should haven’t taken place like the way it did.

“I always say positive things and try not to spread negativity in any way but I think I should say this. This is kind of a defeat of BCCI. They did not treat a big player like him in the right way. The retirement shouldn’t have happened like this,” Mushtaq said while talking on his YouTube channel.

“This is coming straight from my heart and I believe millions of his fans feel the same way. I’m really sorry to BCCI that I’m saying this but they didn’t treat Dhoni well, I’m hurt.”
