The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has now also opened the option to host the Indian Premier League 2020 (IPL 2020) in July. The 13th edition of IPL was likely to start from 29th March, but due to coronavirus, it has been postponed till 15th April. However, as the conditions are not getting normal, the BCCI will have to delay the beginning of IPL 2020 for further, so the board is looking up for every option.
Earlier, according to reports, the Indian cricket board was looking for scheduling it in October-November but it can be only possible if the International Cricket Council (ICC) shifts the dates of T20 World Cup 2020 which is scheduled in October-November.
