Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has still not clarified the names of players who will be a part of the Asia XI while the dates are nearing for the marquee clash. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is organizing a couple of T20I games between Asia XI vs World XI on March 18 and 21 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka to commemorate their country’s founding father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 100th anniversary.
The Bangladesh board has requested BCCI to send big names for the occasion. However, the first match of Asia XI-World XI will clash with India’s cricket schedule. At that time, India will be playing the third match of the ODI series against South Africa.
So, major players from India might not participate in the event. It will be interesting to see which of the Indian players will be selected to travel to Dhaka.

“We are seeing the availability of the players and based on that we will finalise the names. The talk is still on,” Ganguly told Sportstar.
Notably, both the matches are given international status by ICC so this clash has significance in the game.
