Well, it has been one heck of a match at Brisbane in the ongoing Big Bash League 2019. The home side Brisbane Heat thrashed away Melbourne Stars convincingly by the mind-boggling hitting of Ben Cutting and Max Byrant at top of the order. The duo showed no mercy on Stars’ bowlers, who whacked almost every ball to the fence.
Initially, it was Brisbane Heat, who won the toss and chose to bowl first. They got early wickets in the form Ben Dunk, Handscomb and Maxwell in quick succession to be on the driver seat. However, Marcus Stoinis has played a gem of a knock.
He carried the innings on his shoulder by knocking the ball to the fence whenever it was required. Unfortunately, he never got ample support from any other batsman, which saw Melbourne being restricted to a moderate score on the board.
Marcus Stoinis has been brilliant for the team. He smashed a blistering knock of 81 runs. In the end, it was Dwayne Bravo’s 24, which helped the team to put 156 runs on the board.
For Brisbane, Josh Lalor was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets while Renshaw, Jack and Swepson picked up one wicket each.
In reply, it was just a one-sided affair. Both Ben Cutting and Max Myrant played an innings of a lifetime, which a T20 cricketer would dream off. They both competed between themselves in hitting the ball out of the park more often than not.
0-94 from six overs.

Ben Cutting and Byrant are known for their big-hitting skills. But, none would have expected that they both would be showing their skills in the same match. They chased down the tally of 156 runs just in 10 overs. And yes, you read it right.
Ben Cutting finished with 81 runs in just 30 balls. On the other hand, Byrant scored 71 runs in 30 balls. There is hardly any good performance in the bowling chart to mention.
Melbourne Stars – 156/8 (Marcus Stoinis 81, Lalor 3/43)
Brisbane Heat – 156/0 (Ben Cutting 81*, Max Byrant 71*)
