The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 is less than two days away to begin. Ahead of this tournament, the former Australian men’s fast-bowler Brett Lee has named the top two women teams which have impressed him most.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 will be the seventh edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup tournament. Australia will host this tournament from 21st February to 8th March 2020. A total of 10 teams are participating in this tournament. These teams are Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh and Thailand.

Apart from being the hosts, the record four-time winners Australia women’s will participate in this tournament as the defending champions. In Group A, Australia will face India, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The other five teams will fight in the other group (Group B).

The tournament will begin with the Group A match between Australia Women and India Women at Sydney. Brett Lee feels that these are the most impressive teams.

Lee claimed, “Women’s cricket could reach the next level in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 and I’m incredibly proud that Australia will play host to this historic tournament.

“The first game at the Sydney Showground between Australia and India could really set a tone for the tournament, with a match-up between two of the most impressive teams in the game.”

India are a side who are set to add a fourth dimension to this tournament: Brett Lee

The former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee highly praised the Indian Women’s team. He especially lauded the batting unit.

Lee quoted, “With Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma in their batting unit, we’ll also need to keep a close eye on India, a side who are set to add a fourth dimension to this tournament.”

Brett Lee believes that the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 will be a special tournament in women’s cricket history.

He added, “Whether it’s at the MCG or the venues around Australia, the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 is a chance to be a part of history, creating memories which will stay with people for generations.”

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 will also be the seventh edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Once again, Australia will host this tournament from 18th October to 15th November 2020.
