Chandigarh Police has denied giving security to the Indian Team in Mohali after the BCCI has not paid them the fee of Rs. 9 crores. Police took this step ahead of the South Africa T20I series in Mohali.

Both South African and Indian Team were given protection by Mohali police till they reached the Chandigarh. But Chandigarh Police denied giving any security cover to both teams as they were against the BCCI behaviour.

The Indian team and South African team have now successfully reached the hotels as a private company was hired for the security covers.

Indian team and South African team both are ready for the second T20I

The teams have headed for their second T20I scheduled in Mohali on Wednesday (September 18). The first T20I was abandoned because of continuous rain in Dharmshala and no ball was played on that day.

But this would not happen in Mohali as the weather conditions are different there and both teams will have their first fight of T20I in the ground. Indian team is ready with the young player like Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Khaleel Ahmed, Rishabh Pant, Rahul Chahar and Navdeep Saini.

The South African Team led by Quinton De Kock is also ready with inexperienced but talented players. The fast bowler Kagiso Rabada is given place in the team. After the World Cup 2019 disappointment, the young team will be ready to set themselves again in Cricket.

The experienced players Faf du Plessis, Imran Tahir are not playing which will be a loss for them. Skipper de Kock has experience on Indian grounds as he has played in IPL.

The third T20I will be played on 22 September at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Following will be the three-match Test Series which will be played from October 2 to 23. It will be second Test Series for the Indian Team after the World Cup 2019.
