Lanka Premier League (LPL) franchise Kandy Tusker informed that the West Indies great Chirs Gayle has pulled out of this season which is scheduled to begin on November 26. Well, Chris Gayle has joined the long list of members who have made themselves unavailable for the league. Earlier, Pakistan cricketer Sarafraz Khan, who was supposed to captain the Galle Gladiators franchise, has also withdrawn.
Kandy Tuskers, which is owned by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s family, taking to Twitter to inform about the Universe Boss’s ouster.
“We are sad to announce that Chris Gayle will not be playing for us in this year’s @LPLT20_,” Kandy Tuskers wrote on Twitter.

According to information available with InsideSport, Gayle pulled out because commercial understanding with the organizers could not be reached.
Chris Gayle was set to join the former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan, Munaf Patel, local icon Kusal Perera, Sri Lankan T20 specialists Kusal Mendis and Nuwan Pradeep, and England right-arm fast bowler Liam Plunkett among others in the team.
The inauguration edition of the LPL has been under several troubles with COVID-19 already making it tough to arrange.
“Player contracts have been delivered, and they will have to come back to us with their lawyers and all that. There have been issues with transferring money. We’ll talk to franchisees when they arrive. Before the tournament starts they will have to pay 40% to the players,” LPL director Ravin Wickramaratne told ESPNcricinfo.
LPL 2020 set to begin from November 26:

The league will span for 21 days during which 23 Matches, including eight double-headers, will be played. A total of five teams will feature. Colombo Kings and Kandy Tusker will play the season opener on November 26 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium. The grand finale will be played on December 16.
