Earlier, Sultans won the toss and opted to bat. The middle-order batsman Khushdil played a crucial knock of 70 runs off 29 balls which led the team to set the target of 189 runs.

However, The mammoth total looked short in front of Chris Lynn and Fakhar Zaman who were on song.

Chris Lynn took the time to set themselves but soon gained the pace. He played a mature knock and kept rotating the strike with Zaman and only went on to hit the boundaries on the loose deliveries.

The leg spinner Usman Qadir picked the wicket of Zaman, which became the sole wicket taken by the Multan Sultans. Although Zaman had set the game for his team, scoring 57 runs off 35 balls.
