CPL 2019: Qualifier 2 – Trinbago Knight Riders vs Barbados Tridents – Match Prediction, Betting Tips
After Guyana Amazon confirmed their final berth for the Caribbean Premier League, Trinbago Knight Riders and Barbados Tridents will go head to head to seal their final place. Trinbago Knight Riders led by Kieron Pollard didn’t have an ideal finish to the league stage as they lost four matches on the bounce.
However, as they had a fine start to the season when they won their first four matches, they were able to make the cut for the playoffs. The defending champions had also got the better of St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the Eliminator by six wickets to confirm their Qualifier place.
On the other hand, Barbados Tridents won five matches and lost as many in the league stage. Thus, Jason Holder-led side will like to continue their good form going.
Meanwhile, Barbados Tridents lost in the first qualifier against Guyana Amazon Warriors. Tridents’ bowlers were not up to the mark and they went on to leak 218 runs in the first qualifier and went on to lose by 30 runs. Hence, they will need to pull up their socks in the bowling department.
In fact, there is no doubt that the return of Sunil Narine is a shot in the arm for the Trinbago Knight Riders.
Predicted Playing XI of both sides.
Trinbago Knight Riders- Sunil Narine, Lendl Simmons, Denesh Ramdin, Colin Munro, Darren Bravo, Kieron Pollard, Seekkuge Prasanna, Chris Jordan, Akeal Hosein, Khary Pierre, Ali Khan.
Barbados Tridents- Johnson Charles, Alex Hales, Shai Hope, Shakib Al Hasan, Jean-Paul Duminy, Jonathan Carter, Jason Holder, Ashley Nurse, Raymon Reifer, Hayden Walsh, Harry Gurney.
