ToggleIn the Indian Premier League (IPL) history, Mumbai Indians (MI) is currently the most successful team as they became the first team to win four IPL trophies (2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019).
Though the Mumbai franchise struggled to perform consistently in the early IPL editions, they are now the most consistent side in the IPL tournament. Talking about the major reason for their success, they always pick up high-quality players and also like to put strong faith in the successful players for a long time.
However, the franchise has also faced some bad luck as they couldn’t maintain the star international cricketers due to their disappointing performances for the side.
Here we are talking about the top five successful cricketers who failed during their tenure for the Mumbai Indians
Dwayne Bravo

The Caribbean all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is a limited-overs specialist cricketer, especially T20 specialist. He is not only the big-hitting batsman who has scored more than 6000 T20 runs in over 450 T20s, but he is also very close to becoming the first T20 bowler to claim 500 wickets.
Also, Bravo is successful in the IPL as he has scored around 1500 runs, and he is also very close to pick 150 IPL wickets, including two Purple Caps (2013 and 2015).
However, Bravo’s early IPL experience was not much very memorable at all. He served for the Mumbai Indians in the first three editions of the IPL (2008-2010), where he scored 457 runs (average 21.76) and picked up 26 wickets in 30 matches. He underperformed during that period, especially in the IPL 2010, where he scored only 61 runs (average 8.71) and took only four wickets in 10 matches.
