Curtly Ambrose, the former pacer has praised current India and RCB skipper Virat Kohli, calling him a wonderful all-format batsman.

Curtly Ambrose Is A Big Fan And Will Pay To Watch Classy Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli has been one of the most successful captains for India, besides being the premier batter in all three formats. He has led India in 60 Tests – joint most with MS Dhoni – with 36 wins. In IPL 2021, which had to be halted midway due to COVID-19 concerns, RCB led by Virat Kohli had emerged as a top side winning 5 of the 7 games.

The 32-year-old will now be leading the Indian side in the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand, before taking on England in the five-match Test series. And when he steps on to the field to lead India in the WTC final, he will also be conquering another record – most Tests as a captain for Team India.

The 32-year-old Virat Kohli, who had played his first IPL match against KKR in 2008, extended his all-time run-scoring record over other batsmen in the cash-rich league by getting to 6076 runs in 199 matches. He has five hundred and 40 fifties beside his name.

As far as captaincy is concerned, Virat Kohli is already India’s most successful captain in Test cricket. So far, he has led the team in 60 matches, having won 36 and lost 14 (drawn 10).

He broke former Indian captain MS Dhoni’s record of winning 27 Tests as captain in 2019. In the Test series against England, Virat Kohli emulated Dhoni’s record of leading India in the most number of Tests (60).
