Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria is in the recent news for the discrimination he faced while playing for Pakistan Team. Kaneria took his YouTube channel to clarify all allegations he faced in past days. He also thanked the cricket lovers who were supporting him after the case came out on Public.
Shoaib Akhtar recently went vocal about the discrimination his Hindu teammates as Danish Kaneria faced in the Pakistan team. Shoaib’s statement brought Kaneria into focus after which Kaneria spoke on the matter.
He indirectly targeted the former cricketer and coach Javed Miandad‘s statement who said that Kaneria was doing all those for fame.
“To those who are saying I did this for cheap fame and for my Youtube channel, I want to remind them that I did not do it, Shoaib Akhtar spoke about discrimination against me on national television.” Danish Kaneria said.
“People are saying I played for Pakistan for 10 years. But I played for 10 years at the cost of my blood. I gave blood to the cricket pitch. I kept bowling even when my fingers bled,” Kaneria said.
I never sold my country for money – Danish Kaneria
In the video, he tried to prove how honestly he played for his country. He also addressed the charges he faced in a match-fixing case.
“There are people who have sold their country and who are still welcomed in the team. I never sold my country for money,” he also said
“You have cut off my hands and feet. I have not been employed for so long. What else do you want? Should I finish myself off?” he added.
Shoaib Akhtar has claimed that some Pakistani cricketers mistreated with Danish Kaneria as he belonged to the Hindu minority community. He added that some refused to eat the food with Kaneria.
The spinner Kaneria played 61 Test matches and picked 261 wickets while in ODI he bagged 15 wickets in 18 games.
