Remarkable win of seven wickets in Mohali ground has given India lead in three-match T20I series against South Africa. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan gave a good start to the Indian innings as Rohit Sharma started with hitting boundaries. Virat Kohli showed his powerful batting performance scoring 72* from 52 balls.
But the most memorable moment of the match was Shikhar Dhawan’s catch taken by David Miller. It was a breathtaking moment as nobody hoped that Miller will take it. Both Kohli’s and Dhawan’s reaction were to be watched as skipper was aghast and Dhawan passed the smile.

When Shikhar Dhawan was asked about his reaction in the field, he remarked Miller’s catch as appreciable. He said that he didn’t kick high that’s why he got a smile on his face. He scored 40 runs in 31 balls.
“It was an unbelievable catch and Virat was thinking that as well. I was smiling and appreciated his effort. It was hit hard, it wasn’t lofted, it was hit flat and I took it in my stride,” Dhawan said at the post-match presentation.
Great to get a winning start: Shikhar Dhawan
Dhawan enjoyed the game and felt happy after their win at home. He says that the team has practised a lot at that pace and easily won the match.
“It was a good start for all of us. I was playing well, timing the ball well and enjoying myself. Great to get a winning start to the home season. We guys practice a lot at that pace. We are used to it now and that’s why we can counter that pace in matches. It was great to see Rohit hit those sixes and it was a great feeling for me to hit boundaries,” Dhawan said.
The third and last match of T20I will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday (September 22).
