Deepak Chahar Suffered Hamstring During 3rd T20I Against Windies, Will Miss Sri Lanka Series And Is In Doubt For IPL 2022
Deepak Chahar couldn’t complete the over and had to walk off the field due to a hamstring issue. As a result of the hamstring issue, the pacer will miss three T20Is against Sri Lanka. He could be in doubt for IPL 2022 too. A source hinted that the issue could rule him out of the T20 league. He had joined Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for a mega sum of Rs 14 crore.

“His injury looks bad. For all you know, he could be out of the IPL too (he was bought by the Chennai Super Kings for Rs 14 crore in the IPL auction),” a source was quoted as saying.
Should he be ruled out, it will be a big blow to the franchise and the player. Deepak Chahar emerged as the 2nd costliest pick of the IPL 2022 mega auction and drew bids from as many as 4 franchises. Apart from CSK, Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) were keen to get his services. RR made the penultimate bid worth Rs 13.75 crore.
Deepak Chahar became the most expensive Indian fast bowler at an IPL 2022 auction when CSK paid Rs 14 crore to secure the services of the India bowler on Day 1 of the mega event on Saturday. The pacer was not retained by CSK as the management went for MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Moeen Ali as their four picks ahead of the auction.
