Under MS Dhoni’s captaincy, India achieved numerous success in international cricket. Apart from them, Dinesh Karthik also played 28 international matches under Rahul Dravid‘s captaincy. However, recently, he spoke the captaincy differences between MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
MS Dhoni is very instinctive, Virat Kohli is very aggressive, Rohit Sharma is very strategic
Talking about MS Dhoni’s captaincy, Dinesh Karthik claimed that the former Indian captain took a lot of decisions on the moment. Meanwhile, he added that Virat Kohli was a very aggressive nature who had consistently kept raising the bar, as a batter and a leader.
On the other hand, Dinesh Karthik further said that Rohit Sharma always did his homework and made thorough approaches.
Recently, Dinesh Karthik told Hindustan Times, “MS is very instinctive as a skipper. He takes a lot of decisions on the field in the spur of the moment. Virat on the other hand, is very aggressive, likes to take on the opposition. He is immensely self-confident and has consistently kept raising the bar, as a batter and a leader.
“And then there is Rohit. He always does his homework, is very strategic, very hands-on. Keeps going and speaking with his bowlers, has a word with the batters too. He is very thorough in his approach as a captain.”
Dinesh Karthik is currently in an excellent form with the bat, and he is playing an essential role for the national team. He is likely to play his first ODI World Cup match in the upcoming 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.
