American business magazine, known as Forbes, releases its new rating. The magazine presents ranks based on various categories from the richest people in the world to the best hotels. Forbes ratings are believed to be the most accurate. In fact, it is an honour for many businessmen or companies to be included in the Forbes list. Being noted by Forbes is a great privilege.

Lionel Messi has become number one in Forbes rating today. According to the magazine, his collective income is around 4 billion dollars. It has increased by 5% putting Messi from the second position in the rating to No.1 position. No need to say that Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi’s competitor, has been placed in No. 2 position.

Experts say that the list clearly shows the global influence of soccer in 2019. Two highest positions belong to soccer players. However, the biggest overall number of players on the Forbes list belongs to basketball players. 35 players are included in 2019 list with a total income of 1.30 billion dollars.

No.100 position belongs to Indian cricket player — Virat Kohli. His overall income is 25 million dollars. Last year Forbes put him to No. 83 but this year he lost this position. Despite losing a higher position, Kohli still remains the only Indian sportsman, who is on the Forbes list. The overall list represents sportsmen from 25 various countries of the world.
