“Gabbar” Shikhar Dhawan Dissects his Match-Winning Ton on Chahal TV
On Sunday, June 9, Shikhar Dhawan hit a glamorous knock of 117 runs off of 109 balls. The century and the spectacular bowling attack by India became the talk of the premier event. However, the leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal on his show ‘Chahal tv’ scrutinised Dhawan’s winning ton.
In the fourteenth match, the defending champions Australia were left rattled with a 36 runs defeat. India’s top-order had set a tune for the match with their amazing contribution to team’s 352 runs in fifty overs. Whereas, the rest work was taken care of by Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar who took three wickets each. Yuzvendra Chahal was just by their side knocking off two wickets of the five-time title winners.
Shikhar Dhawan scrutinises his match-winning century with Chahal
Dhawan knocked off 117 runs off 109 balls which became his sixth century of ICC tournaments. And now he is just a ‘century’ behind to share the top of the list of most ICC tournament century. The legend Sachin Tendulkar, along with Sourav Ganguly, is at the top of the list with seven centuries to their name.
After being criticised for his opening performance in the third World Cup tournament, Dhawan struck 16 boundaries. Meanwhile, his bewitching “Gabbar” performance sent even the master-blaster in awe. He even sent Dhawan message to break his record in England.
After the ‘fighter’ performance, Dhawan made a special appearance on Chahal TV. In the fun segment after the match, Chahal interviewed “Gabbar”. He asked about Dhawan’s progression in the game where Dhawan explained that he went with a positive mindset.
However, they had strategised to tackle the two main bowlers of Australia with positivity. Further, Chahal cheekily teased Dhawan for not being able to make it to ‘Chahal TV’ sooner.
