The 17-year old Yashasvi Jaiswal will wear the jersey of Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the upcoming edition of the IPL. He was bought for the whopping amount of INR 2.4 crore in the IPL 2020 auction. Yashasvi’s father Bhupendra is happy that he has got the platform to showcase his talent.
There was a bidding war among Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab, and Rajasthan Royals to take the service of the uncapped player. Well, in the end, the Royals were successful in grabbing him in the squad.
The hard-hitting batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal plays for Mumbai on the domestic side. He has played 13 List A cricket which includes two centuries. He also scored a double century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Jharkhand.
The teenager’s father believes that his son’s hard work will surely give him the place in the Indian national cricket team. The proud father wishes that he give his best in the U-19 World Cup and bring a trophy.
“His hard work is paying off. I hope that he will perform well in the IPL and would get a chance in the Indian side. I am extremely happy,” said Bhupendra Jaiswal TOI.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is also selected in India’s Under-19 team. Before playing in the IPL 2020, he will tour South Africa to play the Under-19 World Cup.
“It is not about money. It is about the hard work that he has done. He is making us proud and I pray to God that he will do well in the upcoming U-19 World Cup and bring the coveted trophy to the country,” said Yashasvi’s father.
The youngster supported his father as they together sold Pani Puri. But his hard work and passion for the game don’t die. With the support of a local coach, he got the right direction and made the way to success.
