Indian talisman all-rounder Hardik Pandya has made a stunning comeback into professional cricket. Pandya added the finishing touches for Reliance 1 as cantered to 38 runs off just 25 balls. The right-hander who is well known for his pyrotechnics smashed four sixes and one four in his blistering knock. Subsequently, he helped his team in posting a fighting total of 150 runs against Bank of Baroda.

Furthermore, the all-rounder took three wickets in the bowling innings as Reliance 1 won the match by 25 runs and conceded only 26 runs in the 3.4 overs he bowled. Pandya catapulted his attack against bowler Varun Sood and all of his sixes came while batting against him. Thus, Pandya was able to make a great comeback from his injury.

Pandya batted at the top of his game.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya last played in the Indian colors back in September 2019 against South Africa in the T20I series. He was ruled out of action due to a lower back injury and had to undergo the knife last year. However, he was able to hit the ground running on his comeback.

Pandya had come out to bat at the number four position. Meanwhile, Reliance 1 was struggling in the beginning as they lost the wickets of Shikhar Dhawan and Vishnu Solanki. Dhawan scored only 14 runs but it was Hardik Pandya who brought his team back into the contest.

Pandya got the much-needed support from Saurabh Tiwary, who top-scored for the team with 41 runs. Tiwary and Pandya added 53 runs for the third wicket alliance.

On the other hand, Hardik Pandya’s Mumbai Indians teammate Rahul Chahar was the pick of the bowlers for Reliance 1 as the leg-spinner scalped five wickets in the match to skittle out Bank of Baroda for 125 runs.

Pandya has made a good comeback after the injury layoff and it would be interesting to note whether he will be considered for the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa, which will kick off from March 12.
