New Zealand ace paceman Trent Boult wants to test himself against the Indian captain Virat Kohli. It is always interesting to note a battle within a battle and Virat Kohli vs Trent Boult will be one of the crucial contests of the upcoming Test series. Boult has the skills to get the ball into the right-hander whereas Kohli is not in the best of forms in the recent past.
The Indian skipper only could manage 75 runs in the three-match ODI series and he would look to get back on track in the Test series. On the other hand, Trent Boult will be returning to action after recuperating from an injury and he would look to hit the ground running.

Boult is hard to get away in New Zealand conditions.
Furthermore, Boult is deadly in his own conditions and the Indian batters will need to be wary of the gun pacer. Boult will also get support from Neil Wagner and Tim Southee, with the former in fine form.
“That’s personally why I play the game, to get guys like that (Kohli) out and test myself against them, so I can’t wait to get stuck in. But he’s an exceptional player. Everyone knows how great he is,” Boult said ahead of the first Test match which starts in Wellington on Friday.
Meanwhile, Boult is raring to give his best in the upcoming series. Boult added he is preparing for a solid wicket and he would aim to give his best. The wicket at Basin Reserve is expected to aid the fast bowlers.

Kohli is not in the best of forms.
“I’m preparing for a solid wicket. It generally is very good here and goes the full distance (five days). I do enjoy playing here, the history that’s involved, and it’s going to be an exciting week building up. I can’t wait to get out there,” he further added.
“I think it is what it is. I have just got to put the last six or so weeks behind me and just back myself to get out there and do my thing,” the seamer said.
“I was pushing in off the long run. I think a couple of the cubbies from Taupo really enjoyed that. It was a good afternoon,” added the pacer, who sent down eight overs in a friendly game for his club Cadets.
The first Test match between New Zealand and India will take place at Basin Reserve in Wellington from 21st February.
