On September 4 (Wednesday), International Cricket Council (ICC) announced Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019 schedule. The tournament will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 18 October to 2 November.
UAE, Scotland, Ireland, Netherlands, Hong Kong, Oman, Jersey, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Namibia, Kenya, Singapore, Canada, Nigeria and Bermuda are the 14 teams which will be fighting for their place in T20 World Cup 2020.

The teams are divided into two groups. Group A has- Scotland, the Netherlands, PNG, Namibia, Singapore, Kenya and Bermuda. Both Scotland and the Netherlands were the qualifying teams in 2015. Group B has- UAE, Ireland, Oman, Hong Kong, Canada, Jersey and Nigeria.

The top team from each of the group will play in the semi-final which will take place on 1 November. Also, three teams from each group will fight in play-offs which will be held between 29 to 31 October. The playoff will determine the other four qualifiers.
All the teams will be fighting for the six places available in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 which will be held in Australia from 18 October to 15 November.
