Virat Kohli’s place in India’s T20I team is being constantly questioned thanks to his poor run in the format. Kohli had a terrible outing in IPL 2022 where he managed 341 runs at an average of 22.73 and a strike rate of 115.99.
His poor form continued against England too as he registered scores of 1 and 11 in the second and third game respectively. Before that, Kohli had flopped in the rescheduled Test, scoring 11 and 20.
With the T20 World Cup not very far away, not only the fans but experts have also called for Kohli’s exclusion from the team. And now ex-India batsman Ajay Jadeja has joined the bandwagon too.
“Virat Kohli is a choice that you have to make. Do you want to play that solidity at the top and then get runs right at the back?
“It’s that old-style when Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will bat at the top and you would have players like Dhoni where they get 60 in the last 4 overs,” Jadeja told Sony Sports.
“It depends on whom you want to play. I feel you have a choice, it’s a tough one to make. If I had to pick a T20 side, Virat probably won’t be there,” he added.
