Brief Details: When India And New Zealand Will Meet For The Next Bilateral Series

India finally ended the New Zealand tour which ran for around one-and-a-half-month. In this tour, India began with the five-match T20I series, later faced the challenge of three-match ODI series and finished with the two-match Test series.

India started the New Zealand tour in a superior way by winning the T20I series by the 5-0 margin. However, this celebration didn’t last long as the visitors lost the ODI series by the 3-0 margin and lost the Test series by the 2-0 margin. The Test series was the part of the 2019-21 ICC World Test Championship, where the top-ranked Test team India started as the unbeaten side of this competition (won seven out of seven matches) but lost both the Tests of this tour.

Now, here we will see India’s future bilateral series against New Zealand, both at home and away.

According to the latest FTP schedule, India have no plan to play the bilateral international series against New Zealand in more than the next one-and-a-half-year. They will meet for the next bilateral series in late 2021.

In November-December 2021, New Zealand will tour in India for the two-match Test series and three-match T20I series. The Test series of this tour can be the part of the 2021-23 ICC World Test Championship, but there is no confirmation about this.

Just a few months later of New Zealand will tour in India in 2021/22, the Indian team will travel to New Zealand in March 2022 only for the three-match ODI series. This ODI series will be the last series for both New Zealand and India in the 2020–22 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.

Later, in January 2023, New Zealand will again tour in India but this time only for the three-match ODI series. This ODI series will be played as the preparation for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. India will host the ICC CWC 2023 in February-March 2023.
