India-Pakistan: To Hell with ICC Fine, Says Paresh Rawal

The renowned Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal, who’s now serving in the Lok Sabha as a Member of the Parliament, reiterated it’s the country that has to be the priority of the netizens. He is staunch in his approach on boycotting India-Pakistan clash in the upcoming 2019 World Cup. In the despicable attack on Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy in Pulwama on February 14, at least 40 soldiers lost their lives when a vehicle laden with explosives rammed into one of the buses. So much so, the loud explosion was heard at a distance of 10 kilometres from the site.

Following the suicide car bomb attack, the celebrities have protested against the dreadful attack. Rawal has urged one and all to prefer country over cricket while sending out a stern message.

A country is a priority: Rawal

Interestingly, Rawal took to Twitter to maintain if India went to lose two points in the quadrennial event it shouldn’t bother anyone around.

“To hell with ICC fine and to hell with loosing two points and if it comes to not playing World Cup TO HELL WITH IT! Country comes first not cricket !,” he tweeted.

In a symbolic protest against Pakistan, Rawal remarked if India would miss out in the ICC’s cricketing carnival they’re pretty okay with it.

Earlier, upset Rawal added that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has all the power to take a decision. He reiterated the autonomous body wouldn’t require any approval from the Government of India.

Recently, former cricketers have voiced their opinion following the despicable attack in Pulwama, last week. However, many share a different view apart from condemning the attack.

Veterans of the game, Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev didn’t suggest boycotting Pakistan in the 2019 World Cup. The trio added India should beat Pakistan in the event. But Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan Singh demanded India to shun in the ODI showpiece.

Meanwhile, the 2019 World Cup will commence from May 30 in Kennington Oval between hosts England Cricket Team and visiting side South Africa.

India will kick off their mega-event campaign against the Proteas on June 5 in Southampton.

Pertinently, India and Pakistan are scheduled to take on each other on June 16 at Manchester.

Interestingly, ICC is set to hold a meeting on February 27 to decide upon the India-Pakistan clash.
