  1. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah bowled superbly in this match as his bowling figure was 10-2-27-5. It is the second best ODI bowling figure by an Indian bowler on the Sri Lankan soil. The best bowling figure in this list is 6/59 (10-1-59-6) by Indian left-arm pacer Ashish Nehra against Sri Lanka at Colombo (RPS) on 9th August 2005.

The record is 223 runs partnership between Mohammad Azharuddin and Ajay Jadeja (for the 5th wicket) against Sri Lanka at Colombo (RPS) on 17th August 1997.

 

  1. MS Dhoni (India/ Asia XI) once again remained unbeaten (67*) at the end of the match. It was Dhoni’s 72nd ODI unbeaten innings which is the joint most no.of unbeaten innings for a batsman in ODI history. Two former cricketers, Shaun Pollock (South Africa/ Africa XI/ ICC World XI) and Chaminda Vass (Sri Lanka/ Asia XI) had also 72 unbeaten ODI innings.
