In a maiden appearance on Chahal Tv, Kuldeep Yadav, the slow-bowling partner of Yuzvendra Chahal revealed he often enjoys bowling alongside the Haryana-based leg-spinner, Chahal. The promising youngster had recently blown away New Zealand in the first One-day International of the five-match series. Kuldeep starred with the ball by claiming four wickets after conceding 39 runs in 10 overs. And there is plenty on offer in an ongoing New Zealand vs India 2019 limited-overs series.
“I feel good when I bowl in tandem with you,” Kuldeep told Chahal on BCCI’s Tv show post-Napier victory.
On Wednesday (January 23), the visitors’ spinners in the form of Kuldeep and Chahal are fondly known as ‘Kulcha’ ruled the roost. The duo shared six wickets while conceding 82 runs in their 20 overs.
The 24-year-old Uttar Pradesh-based wrist-spinner Kuldeep asserted the Napier surface was the good wicket to bat on. He added he set his focus on specific areas to stem the run flow and make it count for the Men in Blue.
India vs New Zeland 2019 – Kuldeep Yadav is happy to be among the wickets:
Also, Kuldeep has expressed excitement after being among the wickets in the opener of the Black Caps limited-overs tour.
“The pitch was good for batting. Hence, I had to be careful with the areas I bowl. It was my first match and I think of wickets and it felt good to get wickets,” Kuldeep told Chahal.
Moreover, Kuldeep reiterated the ball skidded in Napier which further pushed him to work on his available options. Also, Kuldeep reminisced about the England and South Africa tours where they reaped the rewards for bowling their heart out.
The ball was skidding, hence one has to be careful with the variations. We were good in South Africa and England,” Kuldeep added.
India vs New Zealand 2019 – Kuldeep Yadav has a wish for the Chahal Tv:
Interestingly, Kuldeep wished his friend Chahal all the best by saying the ‘Chahal Tv’ while adding he is praying the show to become an instant hit shortly. Kuldeep expects Chahal to continue with the special TV show even after bidding adieu to the gentleman’s game cricket.
“I also wish Chahal TV becomes a leading show so that you can do it after leaving the game as well,” Kuldeep concludes.
So far, Haryana-based 27-year-old Chahal has represented India in 36 ODIs in which he bagged 64 wickets at the average of 23.68. However, in the same number of ODIs, Kuldeep clinched 73 scalps at the impressive bowling average of 20.60.
With India leading the five-match Netmeds ODI series 1-0, both aim high to do a bulk of the job for the side. The Bay Oval will host the second ODI on January 26 (Saturday).
