He was then ruled out of the whole tour that included ODI and Test series. Currently, Rohit is recovering from injury and is still not clear that he will be part of the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa.

It has been almost a month since he is away from the cricket field due to an injury. Rohit seems to miss the game dearly. He recently shared the post on Instagram where he captioned that he missing the bat in his hand for the Indian team.

In the last T20I match against New Zealand, while running between the wickets, he nursed an injury.

Rohit’s absence surely costed the team as they were clean sweep in the ODI as well as Test series by 3-0 and 2-0 respectively.

In the three-match ODI series, middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul had led the team —to set up decent totals but Virat Kohli and Co. were unsuccessful to defend them.

On the other hand, opener Shaw and Agarwal were unsuccessful to give a good start to the team in the two-match Test series. Their failure was also the major reason for the No.1 Test team to lose the series.

Well, his return in the home series is also not sure. So, the fans might see him in the upcoming edition of IPL which will go underway from 29th March.

Rohit-led Mumbai Indians will face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
