The popularity of former India skipper MS Dhoni was out on display yet again as the three stands at the Chidambaram Stadium were packed during a practice game for the Chennai Super Kings. The 12th edition of the Indian Premier is all set to kick off from 23rd March. The opener will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings.
A journalist from Sportstar shared a picture from his twitter handle where three stands at the Cheapuk were jampacked as Chennai Super Kings played a practice ahead of the cash-rich league. Sharing the picture he wrote, “Three stands packed to the rafters for a PRACTICE match. Over the years MS Dhoni has evolved as one of the most popular cricketers all across the globe. His exceptional leadership abilities make him one of the finest skippers India have ever produced. He played the knock of his life in the final of the 2011 World Cup. Captain Cool remained unbeaten on 91 of 79 deliveries which helped India lift the World Cup after 28 years. He stepped down from captaincy a couple of years back. However, he still continues to be an integral part of the India limited overs team.
