Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper Kane Williamson has been a notable miss for the franchise in this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Kiwi star has missed four out of five games as he still nurses his shoulder injury. However, much to the relief of Hyderabad fans, Williamson is likely to be fit for the next match, revealed Hyderabad coach Tom Moody. Moreover, young fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed is also likely to regain his fitness ahead of the next game against Kings XI Punjab.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad is currently at the fourth spot with three wins from three games. Although the opening pair of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow have been outstanding, the middle-order has been struggling. They have lacked a player like Kane Williamson who can hold the innings from one end. In the last game against Mumbai Indians, debutant Alzarri Joseph single-handedly ran over the Sunrisers Hyderabad batting line up. He returned with six for 12 to script the best bowling figures in IPL history.

Williamson to be back for Hyderabad

Hyderabad relied mainly on Kane Williamson last season as they reached the finals of the tournament before losing out to Chennai Super Kings. Williamson finished as the highest run-getter, and his unavailability has hurt the team. However, it is likely that Williamson will regain his fitness ahead of their next encounter on Sunday. Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody revealed that their skipper will be available for the next outing.

“Yes, Kane will be fit for our next match!” Moody wrote on Twitter.

Also, young fast bowler Khaleel Ahmed who recently made his India debut will also regain his fitness to be available for selection in the next game. It will be an important few games for the left-arm seamer as he looks to seal a World Cup berth.

“As will Kh

aleel,” Tom Moody wrote in a separate tweet.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad will get a good five-day break before they take on Delhi Capitals on April 14. They will look to assess their game and come back stronger as the tournament approaches its business end. They will also rely on their skipper Kane Williamson to provide stability in the batting order from the next games.
