IPL 2019: Shah Rukh Khan Hails Andre Russell for His Match Winning Knock Against RCB
It was yet again a game-changing innings from the blade of Andre Russell which helped Kolkata Knight Riders steal their 3rd victory of the season against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He smashed the Bangalore bowlers all around the park and remained unbeaten on 48 of 13 deliveries which included 7 sixes and a four. It was total mayhem in the last four overs as Andre Russell went berserk and finished off the match for Kolkata Knight Riders with 5 balls to spare.
The principal owner of KKR, Shah Rukh Khan was overjoyed after his franchise’s performance. He lauded players like Chris Lynn, Robin Uthappa and Nitish Rana for their good knocks. However, he conceded the fact that Andre Russell proved to be the difference between the two sides. Andre Russell has proved in the last few matches that no score is unachievable for him.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, “Well played boys @KKRiders @lynny50 @NitishRana_27 @robbieuthappa. Each one in the team did so well but you all will agree on all words of praise r worth less than this picture…

Andre Russell came out to bat when the match was well within the grasp of Royal Challengers Bangalore. After missing a few of the first four deliveries, Russell went hammers and tongs. He smashed 23 runs off a Mohammad Siraj over and followed it up with 29 runs of Tim Southee which literally buried the game.
Andre Russell’s sheer consistency of hitting the ball out of the park time and again makes him a very special for KKR. He is undoubtedly one of the most powerful strikers of the ball if not the most powerful striker of the ball ever. Even his mistimed hits go over the fence which makes the job even more difficult for the opposition bowlers.
Earlier in the day, Royal Challengers Bangalore had something to smile after they put a competitive 205 on the board in their allotted 20 overs. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers looked in great touch and shared a century partnership. While Virat Kohli scored 84, de Villiers chipped in with 63. The score would have been enough for Bangalore had there not been someone like Andre Russell in the opposition line-up.
