IPL 2019: Watch – Ravichandran Ashwin Pulls Over in his Delivery Stride, Umpire Scolds Him
Kings XI Punjab skipper Ravichandran Ashwin has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Ashwin once again pulled over in his delivery stride when he was bowling to Sunrisers Hyderabad opener, David Warner. In fact, this was not the first time when Ashwin had pulled over when he was about to bowl.
Meanwhile, David Warner had acted like he wanted to play the reverse sweep or the switch hit when Ashwin was about to bowl. This prompted Ashwin to not deliver the ball as he was checking on the batsman. However, the standing umpire Sundaram Ravi was not at all impressed with Ashwin’s action and he had a word with the Kings XI Punjab skipper.
Ashwin pulled over twice.
On the other hand, Ravichandran Ashwin has been the cynosure of all eyes since he had Mankaded Jos Buttler in the 14th match of the ongoing season. In fact, in the previous match between Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad, David Warner had also taken a jibe at Ravichandran Ashwin for Mankading.
Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad has got off to a fine start in the ongoing match against Kings XI Punjab after Ravichandran Ashwin won the toss and elected to bowl first. David Warner has continued his dream form going as he is currently batting on 72.
In fact, this is the 44th IPL fifty for Warner whereas he brought up his eight consecutive fifty against Kings XI Punjab. Warner has scored six fours and two sixes thus far in his innings.
Warner and Wriddhiman Saha added a fine partnership of 78 runs. Saha was also able to hit the ground running as the wicketkeeper-batsman scored 13-ball 28 runs with the help of three fours and one six.
Meanwhile, both teams will like to win the ongoing match. Whosoever team will win today will have the advantage to qualify for the playoff stages.
