The ever-tensed auction had some awe-striking moments on Thursday (19th December) at Kolkata. A total of 62 players were sold in which 29 were overseas cricketers in the IPL 2020 auction. The highlight of the auction was the Australian Pacer Pat Cummins, who was the most expensive player. He was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for 15.50 crore.

The uncapped player Yashasvi Jaiswal was picked by Rajasthan Royals for INR 2.40 crores. In a bidding war among Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals was successful in taking the service of the player.

The Mumbai Lad is a hard-hitting batsman as in 13 List A cricket, he has scored three centuries. The 17-year old is also named in India’s U-19 team which will tour South Africa to play the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup.

Well, he will be seen in the pink jersey and will play under the guidance of captain Steven Smith in the upcoming edition.
