Boult had joined Delhi Capitals before IPL 2018 after being bought by the franchise for Rs 2.2 Crores. He was the mainstay for the Delhi-based franchise in IPL 2018 and scalped 18 wickets from 14 matches but his appearances dwindled in the next season as Ishant Sharma led the pace attack. He scalped five wickets in as many matches in IPL 2019.
There were talks that Boult might be traded to Kings XI Punjab in exchange for Ashwin but now, it has been confirmed that he will play for Mumbai Indians, where he will join the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell McClenaghan Lasith Malinga and others.
Rajpoot, the uncapped pacer, was bought by KXIP for Rs 3 Crore at IPL 2018 auction. In 12 matches for the franchise, he scalped 14 wickets. He has also been part of Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings in past.
At Rajasthan Royals, Rajpoot will join likes of Jaydev Unadkat, Varun Aaron, Oshane Thomas, Dhawal Kulkarni and S Midhun.
The auction for the next season of the league takes place on December 19 and the franchises have just one day left to announce the list of released and traded players.
Last week, KXIP confirmed the trading of R Ashwin to Delhi Capitals. They got Jagadeesha Suchith in return. Few months back, Delhi Capitals had traded Sherfane Rutherford to Mumbai Indians in exchange for India leg-spinner, Mayank Markande.
Delhi Capitals are likely to release likes of Colin Ingram before the auction while Mumbai Indians are likely to release Evin Lewis and Mitchell McClenaghan. Royal Challengers Bangalore are also likely to take a call on number of players in their squad.
