IPL 2020: Jasprit Bumrah Is Ready And Extended Break Is ‘Calm Before Storm’

IPL 2020 will witness a ready Jasprit Bumrah performing his best for Mumbai Indians. But before that, he is seen relaxing on an armchair plugging in his headphones. Jasprit Bumrah, who has risen in stature as Mumbai Indians retained him ahead of a mega auction in 2018.

The extended break due to COVID-19 pandemic gave him the necessary time to relax and could be ‘calm before storm’ as per a post uploaded by Mumbai Indians on social media. The injury also kept him out for half of 2019, but the right-handed pacer returned in action in Indian colours this year before COVID-19 happened for which cricket matches were cancelled and major cricketing events like the T20 World Cup were postponed.

IPL franchise Mumbai Indians have won the title in 2013,2015,2017 and 2019 and are currently captained by Rohit Sharma, Indian opening batsman who is also the leading run-scorer for the team.

IPL 2020: Jasprit Bumrah Will Try To Bowl Well And Give Mumbai Their Record 5th Title

He is all set to resume bowling for Mumbai Indians in the UAE where IPL will be held this time around from September 19. Jasprit Bumrah has picked up 82 wickets from 77 matches for Mumbai Indians at an economy rate of 7.55 and finished the last year 2019 IPL with 19 wickets from 16 matches as Mumbai won for a record fourth time.

Led by Indian opener Rohit Sharma, Mumbai is the only team to clinch the IPL title four times and will look to win the fifth time as IPL gets underway in UAE instead of India from where it has been moved out due to Covid-19 pandemic and restrictions imposed by federal and state governments.

Jasprit Bumrah Has Exceptional Bowling Averages For India

The IPL final will take place on November 10 and the tournament will be played across three cities namely Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

Jasprit Bumrah who debuted in 2016 in ODI and T20Is and 2018 in Tests has played only 12 tests, 58 ODIs and 49 T20Is, but has picked up 62,104 and 59 wickets at an average of 20.63,25.88,20.11  which is exceptionally well. He has been a prominent member in Mumbai Indian’s squad since 2013.
