Kagiso Rabada created the IPL history after dismissing Jofra Archer
During the second innings of the match, Delhi Capitals fast bowler Kagiso Rabada took his first wicket of the match and created history in this tournament.
In the 15th over of the second innings, while Rabada was busy in his third over of the game, he took his first wicket of the match by dismissing Jofra Archer (2). Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer took a good catch in the long-off to send back Archer to the pavilion as Rajasthan Royals were struggling on 100/6 in 14.5 overs. It was Rabada’s 20th consecutive IPL innings where the fast bowler managed to claim at least one wicket.
Previously, R Vinay Kumar was holding the record of taking at least one wicket in most consecutive IPL innings as he managed it to maintain in 19 consecutive IPL innings between 2012 and 2013.
But Rabada now just broke this record. His amazing consistency is running from the late of the IPL 2017 (two matches). While he missed out the entire IPL 2018, he played 12 matches in the IPL 2019. Meanwhile, the latest IPL match against Rajasthan Royals was his sixth game in the IPL 2020.
