SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) innings: Middle-order collapse forced David Warner-led SRH to lose their season opener

SRH captain David Warner (6), who won his third IPL Orange Cap in the last season (2019), lost his wicket in the second over after his opening partner Jonny Bairstow‘s straight shot was deflected to the non-striker-end stumps by the RCB pacer Umesh Yadav, which forced the Aussie cricketer to get run-out due to staying outside the crease during the ball hit the non-striker-end stumps.

However, opener Bairstow and the next batsman Manish Pandey handled that early situation very well and set up the crucial 71 runs partnership for the second wicket. While Pandey lost his wicket on 34 runs, Bairstow completed his half-century nine balls later of Pandey’s wicket. The wicket-keeper batsman Bairstow completed his half-century in 37 balls by hitting a four.

Meanwhile, Rashid Khan received a horrific injury on his head. But he took the bat and continue his game after getting some on-field treatment.

In the next over, Navdeep Saini dismissed Bhuvneshwar Kumar for a duck. Two balls later, on the final ball of the 18th over, Rashid Khan (6) was bowled by Saini.
