Rajasthan Royals could have dreamt of the record of an unbeaten league finish in the history of the IPL, had they not slipped against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the last over. The 44th match of LSG vs RR in the IPL 2024 will happen on April 27, at the Ekana Stadium, Lucknow.
The hosts would be in a good mood, after their back-to-back wins against defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The way they chased 211 to breach the Chepauk fortress, would increase the belief in the camp.
Just like their last two season, they started the tournament on a good note. What they improved from the last year was holding their nerve in tough moments, and never allowing the opposition to come with full force.
The story for Rajasthan Royals is different from the previous season. They began the IPL 2023 with four wins in five games, but their end wasn’t been average. Their six defeats in the next nine games blew them away from the top four. They need to be careful of the same in this IPL 2024- the importance of not getting drained out by the time the tournament reaches the business end.
Their all-round performance has helped them do the job, while the same has happened for Lucknow. However, before the LSG vs RR clash, their main concern for them is their death bowling.
