Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will host the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 44th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The LSG vs RR encounter will take place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, on April 27, 2024.
Lucknow began the 17th season of the tournament with a loss against the same opponents. They recorded three successive victories by defending a total, before slipping twice against Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Their back-to-back victories against defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) promoted them to the fourth position with a net run rate (NRR) of +0.148.
It’s totally different story for the Rajasthan Royals (RR). Their journey has been smooth in this competition so far. They began the IPL 2024 with four back-to-back wins. Except for their one loss against the Gujarat Titans (GT) by three wickets, they got back to the winning ways in the next three games.
The biggest positive for them going into the LSG vs RR battle, from their last game against Mumbai Indians (MI) was the century of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Both Lucknow, have found their stable number three- Marcus Stoinis, who managed a brilliant 124* in the last game against CSK.
Yuzvendra Chahal recorded his 200th IPL wicket in the last game against MI, and he would like to continue the same form going into the LSG vs RR clash, keeping in mind the T20 World Cup 2024 squad selection.
