Irfan Pathan, India’s all-rounder has decided to hang his boots from all forms of the game. Pathan had a sensational career for the Indian team and he was part of the Indian team from 2003 to 2012. The left-arm medium-pacer had great skills of moving the ball both ways and he was also able to get crucial runs while batting the order.

Pathan was awarded the Man of the match for his superb spell in the memorable win in the Perth Test match against Australia in 2008. The southpaw pacer also scalped a hat-trick in the Test fold against arch-rivals Pakistan and became the second Indian bowler to take a hat trick in the red ball version.

Pathan had a great career for India.

Pathan played 29 Test matches for the Indian team in which he scalped 100 wickets. The left-hander snared 28 wickets in the 24 T20I matches and he was also part of the 2007 T20 World Cup side. In the 120 One Day International matches, he scalped 173 wickets and bowled with an average of 29.73.

Pathan scored 1544 runs at an average of 23.39 in the 50-overs version. The southpaw scored 1105 runs in the red ball version and scored at an average of 31.57. The left-hander scored 172 runs in the T20I format.

Irfan Pathan also had a great career in first-class cricket. He claimed 384 wickets in 102 first-class matches and took 272 wickets in the 193 List A matches he played.

Pathan also represented different IPL teams such as Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab and Gujarat Lions in his career. He took 80 wickets in 103 IPL matches and scored 1139 runs at an average of 21.49.

Pathan gave some sweet memories to Indian cricket and he would also be remembered for his contribution to Indian cricket.

The left-arm pacer took seven five-wicket hauls and two ten-wicket hauls in the Test fold. The swing master also took two five-wicket hauls in the 50-overs version.
