Legendary Pakistan batsman, Javed Miandad has refused to compare Virat Kohli with Sachin Tendulkar or Sunil Gavaskar. Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, and Virat Kohli have all been pioneers of Indian cricket during their respective eras and have been the best batsmen not only in Indian cricket but in the entire world.

However, Javed Miandad believes it will be wrong to compare Virat Kohli to the other two legends. While Sachin Tendulkar has been the greatest ever batsman in world cricket, Sunil Gavaskar has been among one of the greats of Indian cricket and holds a respectable demeanour in the cricketing circuit.

Javed Miandad said it is difficult to find another Sunil Gavaskar or Sachin Tendulkar as they were a class apart.

Javed Miandad Opens Up On Virat Kohli’s Comparison With Sachin Tendulkar And Sunil Gavaskar

“If you are talking of the street fighter attitude, then I don’t think you can compare anyone from my era with the present generation. You cannot make another Sunny Gavaskar or Sachin Tendulkar. You can idolise someone but that won’t change an individual’s class or quality. You can’t compare players from different generations,” Miandad was quoted as saying by Telegraph.

Virat Kohli Has Emerged As A Phenom In World Cricket

Virat Kohli is arguably the best batsman in world cricket at the moment. He is racking up records for fun, and he is likely to reach the summit in this list in coming times. The flamboyant skipper of the India National Cricket Team has already smashed 70 international centuries so far and just seems to get better with days going by.

Virat Kohli is now eighth on the list of the most runs scored by a batsman in international cricket. The Delhi-based star has a very long career ahead and the kind of form that he has been in, it seems a considerable possibility that Virat Kohli will lead this chart too.
