Michael Hussey, the known batsman in Australian history, revealed some of his favourite in the cricket world. ESPNcricinfo recently asked some questions to the former player who gave some interesting answers.

Hussey has taken retirement from international cricket in 2013. He played 185 ODIs, 79 Test matches and 38 T20Is.

In the interview, he was asked about a bowler who gave him the sleepless night. He immediately took the name of South African pacer Dale Steyn. He said that Steyn was horrible to face as he has a very good pace and his bowls swing. Hussey got out many times because of him.

Hussey has played under the captaincy of both Ricky Ponting and MS Dhoni. In IPL, Michael Hussey played for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) where the wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni is captain. Meanwhile, Ricky Ponting was Australia’s captain during Hussey’s national duty.

When he was asked about the better captain in ODI between Ricky Ponting and MS Dhoni, Hussey remarked it as a tough question. He selected Ricky Ponting over MS Dhoni as better captain in ODI.

Further, he was asked about the players whom he will be ready to pay to watch them live- one in each format. Hussey selected AB de Villiers (T20Is), Brian Lara (Test matches) and Michael Bevan (ODIs).

Michal Hussey, one of the best player, was inquired that what he wanted to be other than a cricketer. The legend said that he would be a science or maths teacher.

He is nicknamed as Mr Cricket because of his strong knowledge in the field. Hussey would like to give this tag to Steve Smith when asked to select the name of the player for this title.

Hussey was regular in domestic cricket. He played 273 first-class, 381 List A matches and 161 T20s. His brother David Hussey is also involved in cricket. He played for Austalia and in IPL too.
