ToggleDuring the 25th match of the IPL 2020 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium (Dubai) on Saturday (10th October) night, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni became the third Indian batsman to hit 300 sixes in T20 career.
It was MS Dhoni’s 197th IPL match. Also, it was his 167th IPL match for CSK and 191st T20 match for CSK. Dhoni is the most capped player in IPL history as well as he is also the most capped player for CSK (both in IPL and T20 cricket).

On the other hand, it is Dhoni’s 324th T20 match, the second most-capped T20 player among the Indians. Before this match, Dhoni was one six away to complete his 300 T20 sixes as the right-handed batsman already hit 299 T20 sixes.
Playing his 289th T20 innings on this night, Dhoni completed his 300 T20 sixes after hitting his first six of this match. In overall, Dhoni became the 22nd batsman to hit 300 T20 sixes.
Rohit Sharma was the first Indian cricketer to hit 300 T20 sixes. During the 34th match of IPL 2018 against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at Indore, the right-handed batsman became the first Indian to hit 300 T20 sixes. Rohit has already hit 375 T20 sixes and he is presently in the joint eighth position in the list of most sixes in T20 career.
Suresh Raina was the second Indian to hit 300 sixes in T20 career. During the match against Hyderabad at Delhi in the Group E of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2018/19 (22nd February 2019), Uttar Pradesh starrer Raina completed his 300 T20 sixes. The left-handed batsman Raina, who last played a recognised cricket match in May 2019 during the IPL 2019 final, has hit 311 T20 sixes.
