The youngster Prithvi Shaw has started to prepare himself for the comeback. He will train with P.V. Sindhu to enhance his ability and strength.
The player will want to make a strong comeback after the eight-month ban. He was banned for having “inadvertently ingested a prohibited substance, which can be commonly found in cough syrups.” He will want to make a place in the senior team so he will train with the Indian badminton star P.V. Sindhu.
Shaw will not be able to play the upcoming series against South Africa and Bangladesh as his ban will end on November 16. The 19-year-old has played 2 Test matches for India and scored 237 runs. Last year in October, the player scored a century in his Test debut against West Indies. Then he suffered an injury which was followed by a ban and has given him a big halt in the career.
Shaw has played 17 first-class and 26 List A matches. He was the captain of U-19 World Cup 2017 and India won the tournament. He can be the option as a Test opener in the Indian future team.
Shaw wants to improve his footwork so to enhance his fielding skills. Prithvi Shaw’s team has decided to train him with the winner of 2019 BWF World Championships. It will help the opening batsman to improve his physical strength.
“The idea is to improve his overall fitness and agility as a fielder. We expect Shaw to improve his flexibility as a fielder and also enhance his endurance power to play long innings,” said the source.
Recently, Sindhu’s workout videos have gone viral on social media. She was seen doing the tough workout in the videoes. Badminton had improved the skills of many cricket players like Sunil Gavaskar who played to improve his footwork.
