Ravindra Jadeja Impresses Sourav Ganguly With His Never Losing Self-Belief
Ravindra Jadeja is now one of the big names in Indian cricket, especially after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semifinal. Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has recently praised Jadeja for his never give up attitude.
The talented Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has faced many ups and downs in cricket career. While he was once the top-ranked cricketer, he also faced the exclusion from the national team due to inconsistent performances or injuries. He has faced similar ups and downs in the international career, like almost all other cricketers. But his strong self-belief has always helped him to rise from the fall.
Recently Ravindra Jadeja has performed impressively
Ravindra Jadeja’s career has hugely changed after the semifinal of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Jadeja wasn’t a regular member in the ODI squad. During that CWC 2019, he played only two matches, including the unforgettable semifinal. However, still, he put a high impact for the national team in that entire tournament. He was one of the best fielders in that tournament as he mostly served as a substitute fielder.
In the CWC 2019 semifinal against New Zealand, he perfectly put his all-round efforts. Apart from taking one wicket with an economical spell (1/34), he also took two catches and made one excellent run-out during New Zealand’s innings in that game. Later, when India were battling on 92/6 against the chase of 240 runs, Jadeja scored memorable 77 runs (59 balls). However, India finally lost that game by just 18 runs, but everyone appreciated his batting performance.
Recently in the Antigua Test, Jadeja scored crucial 58 runs in the first innings when India were struggling. His batting helped India to put a strong fight in that Test and later they won by a record margin.
On Thursday (29th August), Jadeja has been honoured with the Arjuna Award.
