The Men in Blue have some newcomers in their squad and all of them have high potential to start firing from the first game itself. The likes of Suryakumar Yadav, Rahul Tewatia, and Ishan Kishan have impressed in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and it has finally seen them being rewarded with a place in the Indian squad for the T20I series.

Varun Chakravarthy, the spinner has repeatedly failed to clear the fitness test at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru while yorker specialist T Natarajan is yet to join the squad due to an apparent “shoulder niggle”.

Rahul Chahar will be inducted into the squad as he is already in the bio-bubble since the start of the Test series. Rahul Chahar has played a solitary T20I where he picked a wicket back in 2019 against West Indies.

Meanwhile, spinner all-rounder, Rahul Tewatia is training with the Indian team in Ahmedabad as he awaits his second fitness Test results.
