Ravindra Jadeja, an Indian all-rounder, was ruled out of the remainder of T20I series after suffering a concussion in the first match of the three-match T20I series at Canberra.
In the final 20th over of India’s innings, he was hit on the left side of forehead after the ball ricocheted off his bat following which spinner Yuzvendra Chahal replaced him in playing XI. The final over was bowled by Australian pacer Mitchell Starc.

Ravindra Jadeja is also recovering from a hamstring injury suffered on the course of his batting as he played vital match-winning unbeaten innings of 44 off only 23 balls with 5 fours and a six. BCCI in a media release confirmed that he suffered a concussion.

During the innings break, BCCI assessed his medical condition and found that he was concussed. The left-handed all-rounder is currently under assessment of BCCI’s medical team, and if the need arises, will undergo scans.

Yuzvendra Chahal, who came as his like to like replacement picked 3 wickets for 25 runs and was even awarded Man of Match. The leg spinner picked skipper Aaron Finch, Steven Smith and Matthew Wade.
Shardul Thakur, the pacer who picked 3 wickets in last 3rd ODI have been added for the remaining two T20Is as Ravindra Jadeja’s replacement. The 2nd ODI will be played at Sydney on December 6 while the 3rd will be at Sydney on December 8.

As far as the match is concerned, India won by 11 runs after KL Rahul top-scored with 51 runs off 40 balls with five fours and a six. India scored 161/7 following which Australia scored 150/7.
T Natarajan who debuted in T20Is after successfully debuting in last ODI, picked 3 wickets conceding 30 runs. India, however, were in a spot of bother losing regular wickets in middle overs before Ravindra Jadeja’s late assault saw them cross 160 run mark.
