Ravindra Jadeja has become a crucial allrounder for the Indian national cricket team. His performance in recent time was outstanding. In the Visakhapatnam Test against South Africa, he helped in all the departments whether it’s fielding, bowling or batting. Ravindra Jadeja’s sister Naina Jadeja is happy with her brother’s performance.

In the first innings, he scored 30* and picked up two wickets. The left-handed batsman Jadeja also scored 40 runs during India’s second innings. He picked up three wickets and gave a good support to the pacer Mohammed Shami during the fourth innings of this Test match. After the end of the first Test match, Naina remarked his brother as a balanced player.

“In Test cricket, Jadeja has been performing really well. He has been a balanced player. His batting has improved a lot. Jaddu is improving his game daily,” Naina Jadeja told ANI.

In the first Test match at Visakhapatnam, many batting and bowling records were broken. Ravichandran Ashwin became joint-fastest along with Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan to reach the milestone of 350 Test wickets. Jadeja became the quickest left-arm bowler to scalp 200 Test wickets. Naina Jadeja is glad about Jadeja’s new record.

“I am very happy that he became the quickest left-arm bowler to scalp 200 Test wickets. As Navaratri is going on, we can say the almighty is showering her blessings on him. Because of Jaddu, we feel very proud. For many years, Kohli and Jaddu have been playing together. It is really nice to see the skipper backing him,” she said

Jadeja and Kohli are playing together since the 2008 ICC U-19 World Cup. Jadeja’s sister feels delightful that skipper Virat Kohli has given him chances in the senior national team.

“They have both played together ever since the U-19 World Cup in 2008. Jadeja has been given an opportunity to showcase his batting skills,” she said.

Naina is happy with team performance

In their first innings, South Africa showed very good team performance. India declared the first innings on 502 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. The visitors were very good at the pitch as they scored 431 runs. Dean Elgar‘s 160 runs and Quinton de Kock‘s 111 runs helped the Proteas to chase the big first-innings total but India still had a lead of 71 runs.

In the second innings, India worked hard and set a big target. Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara‘s partnership gave a good start to the team. India set the target of 395 runs. But the visitors were bundled out on 191 runs with the efforts of Shami and Jadeja. Naina Jadeja appreciates the effort of the team.

“It is a good feeling as South Africa is a good team. They are no pushover. Our team had to fight hard, but our side is a very balanced outfit. Rohit Sharma performed really well. Mayank Agarwal also played in a brilliant manner. Ashwin who was returning to the side after a long time bowled an inspiring spell in the first innings,” Naina Jadeja said.
