Nothing is going right for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the ongoing IPL 9 with the latest news coming in is even worse for them. According to the sources, KXIP star foreigner batsman, Shaun Marsh was sent back home due to a brawl with a team-mate.

According to the report of Deccan Chronicle, Shaun Marsh was sent back home due to brawl with his team-mates, not for an injury; it alleged.

Earlier the news came that Australian batsman Shaun Marsh had been ruled out from IPL 9 due to a back injury. But according to the recent report of Deccan Chronicle, a team source revealed that Marsh had punched teammates in the dressing room.

According to the report, the team source said that Marsh was the first one to throw a punch in the fight with unnamed teammates. Soon after that incident, South African David Miller was removed from the captaincy of KXIP and Murali Vijay replaced in that important role. However, the source also suggested that both incidents might be related to each other.

The sudden change of captaincy in mid-way of the season was already indicated about an unhealthy dressing room climate in KXIP, which got strength with the new report.

KXIP is currently at the last position with 6 points after playing 10 matches, where they only won 3 matches and lost 7 matches. Shaun Marsh had played 6 matches where he scored 159 runs (average 31.80) with a half-century. According to the earlier news, injured Marsh was replaced with South African batsman Hashim Amla.

However, it is not the first time that KXIP are involved in the controversy in the IPL 2016. Earlier a news claimed that KXIP co-owner Preity Zinta threatened to sack KXIP coach Sanjay Bangar after the one-run loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Mohali in the IPL 2016. But Sanjay Bangar and Preity Zinta denied that news later.
